Forestry Mulching
Underbrush, palmetto, vines and small trees ground into mulch right where they stand. No burn piles, no haul-off — clean, usable land in about an acre a day.

Excavation is how land work gets finished around Milton, Pace, Pensacola and across Northwest Florida. Clearing takes the growth off the surface; the dirt work underneath — grading a pad area smooth, trenching for a water line, pulling roots and buried debris, fixing the low spot that swallows the backyard every June — is what turns cleared ground into usable ground. We run mini excavators and skid steers: the right size for residential and small-acreage jobs, big enough to move real dirt, small enough not to destroy everything on the way in.
Jarred has spent twenty-plus years in machinery, a stretch of it running big excavators and dozers on commercial and government work before deliberately downsizing to this scale. That background shows in the grading — dirt work is one of those trades where the machine is the easy part and knowing where the water will go is the actual skill. Around here, where a summer storm drops inches in an afternoon, where the water goes is everything.

Panhandle rain is not gentle. Summer brings afternoon storms that dump fast, and sandy soil moves when water runs across it — so grading here is really drainage design with a machine. We shape ground to send water where it should go: away from the house, out of the ruts, off the driveway, into the ditch that's supposed to carry it.
The standing-water problems we get called for — the yard corner that stays swampy, the drive that washes out every storm, the ditch that quit flowing years ago — are grading problems wearing different costumes. Most of them fix with a day or two of shaping, filling and reshaping the fall lines. Cheaper than living with mud, and much cheaper than water finding its way under a slab.
On a raw piece of land the sequence matters: clear it, grub the roots, then do the dirt work — because organic material left in the ground rots and settles, and anything built on top settles with it. When we prep a site, the footprint gets cleaned out honestly: roots grappled, holes filled with real fill, ground compacted and graded to plan.
Because the clearing and the excavation are the same crew, nothing falls in the gap between contractors. The stumps get ground, the grindings get handled, the grade gets cut, and the site is genuinely ready for whoever pours or builds next. One estimate, one mobilization, one standard.
Mini excavators and skid steers get into places the big iron can't: backyards through a gate, between the septic tank and the fence, under the oak canopy you'd like to keep alive. Tracks spread the load so the yard survives, and jobs that would be a mobilization circus for a full-size crew are a clean day's work.
That's the niche on purpose: residential and small-acreage dirt work across Santa Rosa, Escambia and Okaloosa Counties, done by the same outfit that cleared the land — including driveways and culverts and storm cleanup when the weather makes the schedule. Farm, field and property fencing — posts set, wire strung, corners braced. And because we clear land, the overgrown fence line gets opened up first.

Overgrown fields, pastures and lots cut back down — heavy rotary mowing for the growth a lawn mower won't touch and a mulcher is overkill for.

Stumps ground down below grade — single backyard stumps or every stump on a cleared lot. Mow over it, build over it, or plant grass where it stood.

Gravel drives cut, graded and finished, with culverts set at the ditch so you can actually get onto the property — new builds, camps and acreage access.
