We had a horrible batch of invasive bamboo over 20 foot across, and we met Jarred and asked him to come, check it out for us, which he did. And as difficult as it was even though it caused him some broken equipment, he did a fabulous job.Jarred thank you.

Brush Hogging

Overgrown fields, pastures and lots cut back down — heavy rotary mowing for the growth a lawn mower won't touch and a mulcher is overkill for.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions Northwest Florida land owners ask us most. Don't see yours? Call — you'll be talking to the people who do the work.

Call (850) 910-2447

What areas do you serve?
We're based in Jay and work all over Northwest Florida — Milton, Pace, Pensacola, Cantonment, Gulf Breeze, Navarre, Crestview and Fort Walton Beach, covering Santa Rosa, Escambia and Okaloosa Counties. If you're on acreage somewhere between those towns, you're in range. Not sure? Call (850) 910-2447 and ask — the answer is usually yes.
What services do you offer?
Land management, start to finish: forestry mulching, land clearing, brush hogging, stump grinding, bamboo removal, excavation, grading and dirt work, fence installation, driveway and culvert installation, storm cleanup, trail and food plot clearing, and firebreaks. If it's about taking overgrown ground and turning it into usable property, it's what we do all day.
How much does land clearing or forestry mulching cost?
It depends on the acreage, how thick the growth is, the terrain, and what you want the finished ground to look like — which is why we quote from looking at the actual property, not guessing over the phone. Estimates are free and come with a straight number. As a rule of thumb, mulching a typical overgrown acre is a day's work.
What happens to all the mulch?
With forestry mulching, the brush and small trees get ground into a layer of mulch that stays right on the ground. That's a feature, not a mess — it holds moisture, slows the underbrush from coming right back, and breaks down into the sandy soil. No burn piles, no haul-off trucks, no bare dirt washing out in the next storm. If you'd rather have bare ground for building, we'll talk through clearing instead.
Can you clear my land without taking out the trees I want to keep?
Yes — that's one of the best things about mulching with a skid steer. We work around the oaks and pines you flag, take out the underbrush, vines and scrub between them, and leave the property looking like a park instead of a clear-cut. Walk the land with us at the estimate and point out what stays; we're careful around keeper trees.
How long does a job take?
Most residential jobs run a day or two — a mulcher does roughly an acre a day in typical growth, and stump or brush-hog work often wraps in an afternoon. Bigger acreage takes longer, and we'll give you a real timeline with the estimate so you know what to expect before we start.
Do you do residential and commercial work?
Both. A lot of our schedule is homeowners and land owners — overgrown lots, new homesites, hunting land, fence lines — and we take commercial and agricultural work across the same area. Same equipment, same standard either way.
How do I get started?
Call (850) 910-2447 or send the form on this site. We'll talk through what you've got, come walk the property with you, and hand you a free estimate with a straight number and a real timeline. You'll be dealing with the people who run the machines, not a call center.
