Land clearing in Atmore, AL means working ground with a long farm and timber history. Atmore is a city in Escambia County, Alabama, and its southern border is the Florida state line. The 2020 Census counted 8,391 people inside the city. The town began as Williams Station, a stop on the Mobile and Great Northern Railroad. It was incorporated on May 9, 1907. For most of the 20th century, the area ran on farming and timber, with some light industry. Around Atmore, the work covers timber tracts, pasture edges, hunting land and homesites for new builds.
Clearview Contracting Solutions is a Northwest Florida company, and Atmore sits just across the state line in lower Alabama. Our crew runs skid steers with forestry mulcher heads, root grapples, mini excavators and stand-on loaders. A homesite or a new build gets full land clearing, with the roots grappled out of the footprint. Twenty-plus years of running machinery sit behind the company. Every estimate is free and done on site. We look at the growth and the access, then write down a number. Real before-and-after photos from our jobs are on this site.

Atmore grew up on wood. A sawmill built in 1886 set off growth at Williams Station. Lumber and turpentine became a mainstay of the local economy. Across Escambia County, Alabama, timber has led the economy for most of the last century. On timber ground, the growth that needs to go is usually brush and young trees under the canopy. Forestry mulching handles it in one pass. A skid steer with a mulcher head grinds that growth where it stands. The mulch stays on the ground as cover, and the keeper trees stay standing.
Farming shaped the open ground. Early in the 1900s, Atmore became a farm center, with cotton and corn among the main crops. For the first two decades of that century, the town was also a major producer of satsuma oranges. Later in the century, soybeans and wheat largely replaced cotton as the cash crops. Atmore averages more than 63 inches of rain a year, so idle fields and pasture edges fill in fast. We mulch them back to open ground. On hunting land, trail and food plot clearing opens lanes and plot ground before the season.
In Alabama, a burn pile comes with rules. ADEM, the state environmental agency, bars land-clearing burns from May through October in 12 counties. Baldwin and Mobile Counties are on that list, but Escambia County, Alabama is not. The Alabama Forestry Commission still requires a burn permit over a quarter acre. It also requires one for any burn within 25 feet of woods or grass. Mulching in place leaves the chipped material on the ground, so there is no pile to burn. Our guide to Alabama burn and clearing permit rules covers the details.
On a homesite, the house footprint gets cleared to bare ground and the roots grappled out. A mini excavator or stand-on loader then shapes the pad so rain drains away from the house site. Under ADEM rules, construction that disturbs 1 acre or more counts as a regulated site and has to be registered. Mulching skips the burn, but it does not change that 1-acre line. Inside city limits, ask the City of Atmore about building permits before work starts. To get trucks onto a new lot, we also handle driveway and culvert installation.

Jarred did a great job removing a large stump in our backyard. Very professional, on time, thorough, and cleaned up after himself.
Logan came out and did a wonderful job he was very fast and professional. Would definitely recommend!
Amazing job very professional would highly recommend
We had a horrible batch of invasive bamboo over 20 foot across, and we met Jarred and asked him to come, check it out for us, which he did. And as difficult as it was even though it caused him some broken equipment, he did a fabulous job.Jarred thank you.
Jared was clearing land near us, we stopped and asked him about our horrible bamboo. He came the same day. Very polite and did a great job. Definitely give him a call.
Good afternoon I greatly appreciate this company and will be calling them and recommending them to all my friends and family he came out and took my old fence out and haul it away.. on top of that it was storming heavy but he still made sure he completed the job and will be back for the little things...
