Storm Cleanup in Northwest Florida

Storm Cleanup · Northwest Florida

After the Storm, Get Your Property Back

Storm cleanup is a fact of life around Milton, Pace, Pensacola and across Northwest Florida. This stretch of the Gulf Coast catches tropical weather most years — named storms, hurricane remnants, and the straight-line winds that come with ordinary summer severe weather — and every one leaves the same aftermath: pines snapped and leaning, oaks down across fences and drives, and a property's worth of debris that a chainsaw and a weekend can't touch.

That's equipment work, and it's what we have. Skid steers with root grapples move whole trees; the mulcher processes the brush and tops in place; the mini excavator handles root balls and torn ground. We clear the downed material, stage or process the debris, and put the property back in order — driveways open, fence lines freed, yards walkable again. When a storm has been through, call (850) 910-2447 and get on the list.

What the Gulf Throws at the Panhandle

Northwest Florida property owners don't need the weather explained to them — hurricane season runs June through November, and even the misses send wind. Pines are the usual casualties: tall, shallow-rooted in sandy soil, and prone to snapping mid-trunk or going over root ball and all. One good blow can put a dozen trees on the ground across a few acres, and suddenly the property you maintained for years is a debris field.

The cleanup is heavier than it looks. A downed pine weighs more than anything a homeowner's equipment should touch, a leaner is genuinely dangerous, and dragging trees by truck tears the yard up worse than the storm did. Grapple equipment exists for exactly this — lift, move, process, gone.

In What Order Things Get Fixed

After a storm, sequence is sanity. Access comes first: the tree across the driveway, the debris blocking the gate — you have to be able to get in and out. Then structures and lines: trees off the fence, off the shed, away from what they're leaning on. Then the property at large — the downed timber, the hangers, the carpet of limbs and tops.

We work that order. On a property with real damage we'll open access the first visit even when the full cleanup takes longer, so the place works while the rest gets done. Debris goes where you want it: staged at the road, consolidated for burning where that's allowed, or mulched into the ground where it lay.

Cleanup Now, Stronger Ground Later

Storm damage exposes what the property needed anyway. Fences flattened by falling timber come back better on a cleared, rebuilt line. Washouts and torn ground point at the grading that would have prevented them. And the trees that failed were usually telling on themselves — cutting the dense, weak growth back before the season, and keeping firebreaks and buffers open, is cheaper than cleaning up after it.

We handle the whole arc: the emergency mess this week, the rebuild after, and the thinning that makes the next storm smaller. It starts with a walk-through and a free estimate — after a blow, we get to properties as fast as the list allows.

Call (850) 910-2447

How much does storm cleanup cost?
It scales with what's down: how many trees, how big, what they're on top of, and where the debris needs to end up. We look free and quote straight — and after a big storm, watch out for out-of-town outfits quoting panic prices. We work here year-round; the number has to make sense.
How fast can you get to my property after a storm?
Call (850) 910-2447 as soon as you can — after a real blow the list fills fast, and we work it in order with access emergencies first. If a tree is on your driveway or blocking your gate, say so; opening access is the first pass.
A tree is leaning but hasn't fallen. Can you handle it?
Leaners are the dangerous ones — a half-fallen pine under load does unpredictable things, and it's a machine job, not a ladder-and-chainsaw job. Keep people away from it and call; bringing one down safely is routine work with a grapple.
What happens to all the debris?
Your choice: staged at the road for pickup where your county runs storm collection, consolidated on site, or mulched where it lies — often the cleanest option for tops and brush. Big trunks get processed and stacked. We'll lay out the options when we see the property.
Can you fix the fence and ground damage too?
Yes — that's the advantage of a land-work crew over a tree service. Trees off the fence and the run rebuilt, torn ground regraded, root-ball craters filled. One crew takes the property from disaster back to normal instead of leaving you to line up three more contractors.
