Storm cleanup in Milton, FL starts with the downed trees Hurricane Isaias left across drives, gates, sheds and yards. Preliminary assessments by the City of Milton found some degree of damage on about 60 percent of structures in town. Clearview Contracting Solutions brings skid steers with root grapples and forestry mulcher heads to the storm debris on your property. We work from north Santa Rosa County, and twenty-plus years of running machinery sit behind the company.
Access comes first, so on the first visit the grapple lifts downed trees off the drive and the gate. From there, trees come off sheds, fences and the yard, and the mulcher grinds tops, limbs and brush in place. The mulch stays on your ground as a layer, which keeps the curb clear for the collection crews. Our storm cleanup page lays out the same downed tree work for every county we serve in Northwest Florida.

The City of Milton first declared a local state of emergency for Hurricane Isaias on October 8, 2026. In its October 22 update, the City estimated about 400,000 cubic yards of vegetative debris throughout the city of Milton. The same update counted about 35,000 cubic yards of construction debris and found an estimated 5 percent of structures uninhabitable. Across the whole county, Santa Rosa County estimated about 1.7 million cubic yards of vegetative debris from the storm.
In September 2020, Hurricane Sally damaged thousands of structures in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties, the National Hurricane Center reports. The report's Milton station at Naval Air Station Whiting Field North logged a peak gust of 57 knots. A rain gauge 2.9 miles northwest of Milton caught 13.05 inches, and the nearby Blackwater River reached major flood stage. The report also notes widespread downed trees and power lines across the Florida Panhandle after Sally.
Inside the city limits, the City of Milton runs its own storm debris collection with the equivalent of 40 haulers. By October 20, city crews had picked up about 98,873 cubic yards of vegetative debris. The City's October 22 update said crews had not yet finished the first pass, and more passes will be needed. It expects collection to run through November and possibly into December, so a pile you set out may wait weeks.
Santa Rosa County's Isaias Update 11 says a contractor hired for fallen trees is responsible for hauling away all debris. The county adds that debris from contractor work should not go on the right of way for county pickup. We grind tops, limbs and brush in place, in town or out, so the mulch stays on your property. Milton is the county seat of Santa Rosa County, set near the mouth of the Blackwater River in the Panhandle. Storm calls here run across ZIP codes 32570 and 32583 and along the U.S. Highway 90 corridor. East Milton and Bagdad are unincorporated, so Santa Rosa County's debris guidance is the one to follow there. Pace borders Milton to the west, and our storm cleanup in Pace page covers the work in that town.
Stand-on loaders and mini excavators work into fenced backyards and the tight corners of town lots after a storm. When a tree comes up by the roots, the root ball and stump can be ground out with stump grinding. On wooded acreage outside town, forestry mulching turns storm blowdown and torn understory into a mulch layer. The same machines handle our land clearing in Milton once the storm work is done.
